Discover the beauty of Peninsula Valdes on a full-day tour from Puerto Madryn. See the Golfo Nuevo and San Jose from the Ameghino Visitors Center, visit the only village on the peninsula, and see the elephant seals at Caleta Valdes. Start your tour with a visit to the Ameghino Visitors Center, located at the entrance of Peninsula Valdes. From a viewpoint, appreciate the geographical characteristics of this natural reserve, including the Golfo Nuevo and San Jose, and the Birds Island. Continue to the only village on the peninsula, Puerto Pirámides. This small port is the only one from where vessels are authorized to go on a whale watching tour from June to December (activiy not included). Enjoy the view of the clear waters and white cliffs, protecting the small beach. After visiting the port, head to the Atlantic Ocean and stop at Caleta Valdes. Cross the steppe, going through 80 km on a gravel road, and watch the endemic land fauna, such as guanacos, choiques, and maras. Arrive at the most representative geographical feature in Peninsula Valdes, the inlet where there’s an important colony of elephant seals. At the Caleta Valdes specific reserve, there are a self-service restaurant and public toilets. Depending on the calendar of fauna and the weather conditions, continue up to the north to Punta Norte. Finally, return to Puerto Madryn, where your tour concludes.Includes
