Description

Begins early in the morning with the pick up at your hotel to take you to the National Park. The pick-up time will depend on the area where you are staying, approximately between 7:20 a.m. until 08:00 am. The Brazilian Falls will be visited with its traditional gateway of 1,200 meters long where you can get a spectacular panoramic view of the 275 waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls, of which the Brazilian side are four: Floriano, Deodoro, Benjamin Constant and Salto Union or Devil's Throat. After the tour, you have access to the panoramic lift that will reach the bus that will take you back to the gateway. After a stop for lunch (not included), the tour continues to Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant. It is the largest in operation in the world and a binational development by Brazil and Paraguay on the Parana River. The installed capacity of the plant is 12 million and 600 thousand kW, with 18 generating units of 700,000 kW the plant is responsible of supplying 90% of the electricity consumed in Paraguay and 25% of the demand for Brazil. As engineering work was chosen by the A.S.C.E. (American Society of Civil Engineering) as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern Technological World.
