Description

The Lanín Volcano rises to 3,776 meters above sea level, being the highest in the Araucanía region and located on the border between Chile and Argentina. For mountaineering lovers, this imposing massif represents an exciting challenge and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Don't miss the opportunity to take on this natural wonder and feel the thrill of being on top of the world! Discover the majestic Lanín Volcano on a two-day journey. We will ascend from the slopes of the volcano through the Lagos Andinos entrance, gradually acclimatizing to the base camp, close to 3,000 meters above sea level. Experience a challenging climb with 360-degree panoramic views. Admire volcanoes, lakes and native forests in the Andes mountain range. This activity lasts two days. Itinerary: Day 1: 6:30 am: We meet in our office to get equipped. 7:30 am: We travel approximately one hour to the base of the Lanín Volcano. 8:00 am: We begin the walk at a constant pace, enjoying the landscape. 3:00-4:00 pm: We set up camp at 3,000 meters above sea level, have dinner and rest, enjoying an incredible sunset. Day 2: 4:00 am: We have breakfast and begin the walk to the summit. 9:00 am: Arrival at the summit of Lanin Volcano, reaching 3,776 m.a.s.l. The descent lasts around 6/7 hours 19:00 pm We are back in our transport. 21:00 pm Back at our agency in Pucon we will celebrate our feat with cold beers in summer or hot chocolate in winter. Consider that this activity requires a very good physical condition, since it is demanding.

  • The ascent depends on the weather conditions of the day, so the weather is checked the day before and at the time of the activity. It is necessary to come to our office one day before the activity to test the equipment. We recommend bringing a snack for both days of the activity, water, cookies, chocolates, fruit, sandwiches, etc. Remember to bring warm clothes.
