Description
Starting at 7 am, your tour kicks off with convenient hotel pickups in El Calafate. You'll travel about 30 miles (45 km) through picturesque countryside with charming wooden houses. Upon reaching the Punta Bandera port on Lake Argentino, around 8:15 am, you'll board a modern and comfortable boat. This vessel takes you through a mesmerizing landscape of towering icebergs to the northern arm of Lake Argentino, the farthest point of navigation allowed on the Upsala Channel, revealing stunning views of the Upsala Glacier. You'll arrive at the Estancia around 11:30 am. After disembarking, an experienced guide will lead you on a thrilling trek through the surrounding valley. The hike unfolds in a semi-arid ecotone area with native shrubs and grasses. The path gradually ascends to an elevated viewpoint, offering expansive vistas of the valley, Lake Argentino, Lake Pearson, and the Andes Mountains. Continuing on a gently sloping trail, you'll reach the highlight of the trek: the Los Perros River Waterfall, a fantastic spot for observing orchids and other plant life. After the trek, around 5:30 pm, you'll return to the boat, starting the journey back to the Punta Bandera port and then El Calafate. Hotel drop-offs are expected at around 8 pm.Includes
